Alpine conference on hiking and outdoor activities 2021

Meeting topic:

Crises are indicative of existing dysfunctions and future risks. The current health crisis is forcing us to rethink our relationship with the environment.   It has led to an explosion in demand for outdoor activities by a new clientele. The over-use of natural areas and acts of incivility (waste, fire, etc.) are among the consequences.
Climate change is having and will have an impact in the years to come on many activities, such as mountain sports (skiing, mountaineering, canyoning, etc.) and calls for a reflection on the future of outdoor activities.
The current economic model allowing access to outdoor activities is also in transition, requiring the actors to adapt more and more. How can we increase the acculturation of local populations or their integration into the reflection on the evolution of the tourist offer?
How can we reinvent ourselves, rethink our practices, our offer, our products, our governance and communication tools to strengthen our resilience?
