The accessibility and digital connectivity across borders is one of the major aims of EUSALP.

Mapping and analyzing governance meachanisms: The workshop is a capacity building workshop for the AGL to make them aware of possible action corridors in the field of governance.
Action Group 5 meets for the second time in the framework of the EUSALP Action Groups Forum.
On 14 and 15 February 2017, a Forum of the nine Action Groups of the EU Alpine Strategy took place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The Action Groups are responsible for the concrete implementation of the political priorities adopted by the General Assembly.

On 29 November 2016, the cornerstones of the work programme for the Bavarian presidency were presented to an interested public during an evening event in the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria to the European Union in Brussels.
At the presence of the delegates of 5 alpine countries (Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia, France and Germany), AG5 takes the first official steps.
EU Strategy for the Alpine Region: Workshop: New value chains in the field of Bioeconomy and Medical Technology
The meeting serves to get a common idea among the co-leaders about the aims, working method and results of AG5 as well as to define the next steps.
The event was first referred to as the AG 5 kick off meeting. Nevertheless, terminology was changed since the meeting didn’t achieve the participation of the minimum number of Member States representatives required.
The Launch Conference of the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) marks the move to the timely implementation phase of the Strategy, following its endorsement by EU leaders at the EU Council.
