After three years of hard work, the EUSALP Action Group 6 (AG6) presented their results during the Final Conference in Innsbruck, Austria. On the first day of this two-day conference, the AG6 members came together for an internal meeting. The main item of the agenda was the implementation of the current AG6 work plan and the finalization of some last outstanding issues.
On the second conference day, 6 November, the doors were set open to the public. Free stage was given to the members of the different AG6 sub-groups to present their large variety of results and of ongoing ARPAF (Alpine Region Preparatory Action Fund) and ARPAF II projects with AG6 involvement. Finally, this meeting provided a fresh opportunity for a round-table discussion on why and how the topics of AG6 (spatial development and soil protection, farming and forestry, water management) are important to further develop sustainability in the Alpine Region. Together with regional and local politicians as well as of NGO representatives, Secretary General of the Alpine Convention, Alenka Smerkolj, took place at the debate table.
The results of the past three years of the EUSALP AG6 will be presented also at a larger stage during the EUSALP Annual Forum at the end of November in Milan.
