While EUSALP Italian Presidency is coming to its end, the activities are all directed towards the final event of the year: the 3rd EUSALP Annual Forum that will be held on 28-29 November 2019 in Milan. At the event, organized by EUSALP Italian Presidency, led by the Lombardy Region, and by the European Commission, have been invited high level representatives of the European Institutions, Italian Ministers, Ministers of the countries of the EUSALP area, and the Presidents of the partner regions. The event will have the honor to host the H.E. Prof. Giuseppe Conte, Italian Prime Minister and the European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Mr. Johannes Hahn.
The Annual Forum has been designed with a twofold objective, not only as the main closing event of the Presidency - which will be attended by the highest institutional political bodies, the socio-economic and academic world, civil society and the general public of the EUSALP area - but also as a mean for capitalising on the results of the initiatives carried out during the year of Presidency (eg. sectoral policy declarations, posters / statements) made to give consistency to the objectives set for 2019, and to leave a legacy of new guidance for the following French Presidency 2020.
All those who participated and contributed to the several events and initiatives will present the main outcomes of the activities throughout dense parallel and plenary sessions.
The central topics on which the Forum will be focusing on are the Green Economy, the youth and stakeholders' participation in the EUSALP process, together with the enhancement of the Alpine cultural dimension.
The event will take place at Palazzo Lombardia, branching out in the main beautiful square in front of the Palace and in the adjacent halls and rooms that Lombardy Region has at its disposal.
The Annual Forum wants to be also a cultural event, aiming at stressing the Cultural dimension of the Alps with the exhibition “Hospitia” and chamber orchestra: “Cameristi della Scala”.
