EUSALP Energy Survey 2017

11th Jan 2018

Reliable energy data are the basis for decision-makers to define, to implement and to monitor the effectiveness of energy policies. In order to implement a well-informed macro regional energy strategy that responds to the needs and challenges of the territory, Action Group 9 developed the EUSALP Energy Survey that collected information about regional and national energy data aggregating them to macro-regional data and compared medium and long-term policy goals defined by the functional units in the EUSALP territory. Experts from states and regions were invited to fill out the questionnaire. The survey consisted of 29 questions about energy production, consumption, energy strategies, policy goals and their state of implementation and (perceived) remaining potentials for the expansion of renewable energy sources in the macro-region. The Institute for Renewable Energy of Eurac Research (EURAC) carried out the collection and analysis of the collected data. The main findings of the analysis are summarized in the “EUSALP Energy Report 2017”.
