Energy transition in the Alps isn’t theory, it’s already underway. Through conferences, awards, and years of shared effort, Alpine regions have built up a clearer picture of their energy system, using a dedicated data platform to map consumption and production across the territory.

But understanding alone isn’t enough. That’s why a new chapter is unfolding, focused on hydrogen. Ten Alpine regions have signed on to shape a cross-border ecosystem for H₂, aimed at powering heavy vehicles and industry. A shared roadmap is now in motion, backed by concrete plans to build infrastructure and connect local hydrogen initiatives.

From energy communities to hydrogen valleys, the Alpine region is proving that cooperation isn’t just part of the transition: it’s the driver.
