Pitch Your Project 2025: Meet the 5 Finalists!

News

Five inspiring youth projects from across the Alpine region are heading to the finale of the Pitch Your Project Competition 2025, taking place during the EUSALP Annual Forum 2025 on 25 November in Innsbruck!

After receiving 17 creative proposals from all over the Alps, an international jury has selected five finalists whose ideas bring fresh, bold, and sustainable solutions to some of the biggest challenges facing our mountain regions. These young innovators are turning vision into action from digital democracy and circular economy to sustainable tourism and cross-border mobility.

Let’s meet the finalists shaping the future of the Alps!

🔹 Civic’Quest (France)

Turning civic engagement into an adventure.
Civic’Quest is a gamified mobile app that makes community participation fun, accessible, and rewarding. Young users complete daily “missions” from cleaning a park to volunteering at a cultural event, to earn badges, points, and eco-friendly rewards. Built on eco-design principles and full GDPR compliance, the app connects youth, local institutions, and associations to co-create a more sustainable and democratic society. By transforming civic action into a game, Civic’Quest empowers a new generation to act locally and think globally.

🔹 AlpWood Circular (Italy)

From hazardous forests to sustainable Alpine construction.
AlpWood Circular tackles two major Alpine challenges, forest overgrowth and inefficient heritage buildings, with one circular solution. The project transforms wood from newly formed, risky forests into eco-insulating panels that cut energy consumption in mountain homes by up to 50%. Each pilot valley generates up to 25 new green jobs for young people, proving that prevention can create both safety and value. A model of circular economy rooted in resilience and local empowerment.

🔹 Alpine Fresh-Lock Cooperative Network (Italy)

Preserving Alpine flavours while creating green jobs.
The Alpine Fresh-Lock Cooperative Network bridges rural innovation and youth employment. Through solar-powered cold hubs, e-bike deliveries, and digital traceability tools, it helps small food producers preserve and distribute their high-quality local products more efficiently. By combining renewable energy and cross-border cooperation, this project keeps the taste of the Alps fresh and ensures that the next generation takes pride in sustainable, local food systems.

🔹 Move Globally (Slovenia)

Simplifying cross-border mobility for everyone.
Move Globally is a smart digital platform that turns the complexity of moving abroad into a simple, personalized experience. By combining legal expertise with artificial intelligence, it provides clear, verified, and continuously updated guidance on migration, taxation, and social security. Built on strong European values of inclusion and free movement, the platform empowers students, workers, and families to navigate mobility confidently and fairly across Europe.

🔹 AlpLink (Slovenia)

Rethinking tourism mobility in the Alps.
AlpLink introduces a smart, community-based car-sharing system that connects tourists and locals for flexible, eco-friendly rides to Alpine destinations. By reducing traffic, CO₂ emissions, and pressure on natural sites, the project supports both sustainable tourism and social inclusion, offering jobs for students and opportunities for local communities. A great example of how innovation and cooperation can make Alpine travel greener and more human.

The Road to Innsbruck

The five finalist teams will pitch their projects live on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, during the EUSALP Annual Forum in Innsbruck (Austria). They will compete for three prizes of €2,000, €3,000, and €5,000, financed by the Region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Their travel and accommodation costs will be covered in the frame of the Interreg Alpine space Support EUSALP project (ERDF and Region BFC).

Beyond the pitch, finalists will also join the Annual Forum’s program and side events, connecting with policymakers, experts, and other young changemakers from across the Alps.
