We are pleased to inform you that the contract between DG REGIO and a consortium consisting of Région Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur, the French State with the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion, Regione Lombardia and Région Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, establishing a Technical Support Structure (TSS) has been signed for the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP).

With several offices in the Member States – one main office in Nice (FR) with an antenna in Grenoble (FR), and a branch office in Milan (IT) – the new TSS is the entry point to the strategy. Its missions include a support to EUSALP governance, communication activities, Action Group activities, and support to the embedding process amongst other files related to the coordination of funds at local level.

The Commission, via the EUSALP Team in DG REGIO – D1, will continue to play a role of facilitator in the EUSALP Strategy, while the TSS will support the operational implementation of the Strategy.

After two years of work with the 7 countries and 48 regions of EUSALP, this agreement is a success for the entire Strategy, including the Commission who is providing financial support for the first year of  the EUSALP TSS implementation.

We wish to all partners success in their work for the benefit of the Alpine region !
