Launch of the new Digital Alps Conference

7th May 2021

The Action Group 5 of the Alpine Macro-Regional Strategy EUSALP, organises the first edition of the Digital Alps Conference.

This conference, which picks up the baton of the event "Smart Villages - A common perspective through different visions" organised in Courmayeur in 2019, aims to become an annual reference point for the processes of digital transformation of the Alpine territory.

During the conference, thanks to the contribution of authoritative international speakers, initiatives and projects related to different aspects of connectivity and digitalization will be presented, from the development of digital infrastructures to the smart evolution of peripheral areas, from open data management to digital development opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises. During round tables and workshops the main aspects of the contributions from various areas of the Alpine arc will be discussed and summarised, with the aim of outlining concrete and operational courses of action.

Particular attention will be paid to the Smart Villages approach, with the official launch of the network of Smart Villages in the Alps.

The first edition of the Digital Alps Conference will take place online on 27 and 28 May 2021, participation is free and open to all. The speeches will be in English.
