Action:

Improve public acceptance for common modal-shift policies and projects supported in the frame of EUSALP AG4.

Large-scale infrastructure projects as well as modal shift policies related to freight and passenger transport often find arbitrary support by local citizens and companies: on the one hand, modal-shift reduces the environmental burden from traffic in the Alps; on the other hand, large-scale infrastructure projects are often seen in a critical way and pricing systems face the risk of creating negative effects for regional economies.

Thus, it seems necessary to consider and improve public acceptance for common policies and projects supported in the frame of EUSALP AG4. This activity thus reaches out to relevant stakeholders and the public, to include a broader viewpoint into the design of new infrastructures and policy instruments.

The EUSALP AG4 is already in close collaboration on this matter with CIPRA in the frame of the ASP Interreg Project AlpInnoCT.
